World of Winx[]
Season 1[]
It is first mentioned by Chef Tony who, having enough of Vincenzo's arrogance and inability to listen to constructive criticism, puts his employee's skills to the test. He orders Vincenzo to participate in the cooking contest here but if he loses, he cannot return to the restaurant. Vincenzo, confidently accepts the challenge and heads over there. His competitions are Aki Abe and Diego Rio (Detective Gómez in disguise).
The Winx had sensed that Vincenzo was their next talent that will make their dreams come true. So, they head over there with Lorelei, who replaced Bloom after she was fired. The food critics welcome the Winx to the competition and in the audience is Chef Tony. One of the three critics introduce the competitors, when he gets to Vincenzo and tells audience that he is representing Tony's restaurant, Vincenzo corrects him, saying that he is here to represent himself. This angers Tony.
The Winx and Lorelei are then assigned a chef to assist. Lorelei and Stella will help Diego Rio, Musa and Aisha with Aki Abe, and Tecna and Flora with Vincenzo.
The competition will have four dishes. The chefs prepare their first dish and Vincenzo makes it clear to Flora and Tecna that he does not require their assistance. He prepares a strange looking dish, described by Tecna to be "... exaggerated and certainly not edible." Flora points out he does not seem to care. The critics are presented the dishes and Aki receives two points and Diego receives one. This angers Vincenzo who takes off his apron, arrogantly telling the critics they lack knowledge in cooking. The audience finds his attitude unappealing. Ace agrees with the audience and asks if he is actually talented or a failure.
Vincenzo then stomps off the stage. Flora and Tecna chase after him, telling him that they can help. Still acting high and mighty, Viincenzo rejects it. Tecna offers a rebuttal and shows him that he has the worst ratings in town. Flora warns that this is not a simple competition because losing could cost him his dreams. Flora summons his dish and has him taste it. When he does, he too is disgusted by it. He starts to slowly humble himself.
The competition resumes. Aki and her assistants are doing well, Diego Rio and his are... alright. And Vincenzo starts taking Tecna and Flora's advice. They start easy with two simple ingredients and liquid nitrogen. Though listening to his assistant still makes him nervous, he is able to catching up to Aki who had taken the lead. For the next dish, he takes Flora's advice and made it just a little more complex. This dish helps him catch up even more and disqualifies Diego from the competition.
The last dish is a dessert for which, Vincenzo combines everything he had learned into his Rainbow Ice Cream. As he is cooking, Tony is watching proudly. The ice cream wins over the mochi! The girls give him a big hug and Tony is overjoyed to see his employee growing out of his arrogant self. Tony goes to congratulate him but Vincenzo, having been humbled, tells him he is proud to have represented Tony's restaurant and hopes he will give him the opportunity to learn from him. Tony wastes no time in accepting it, gives him a big hug, and tells him that he is so proud of him and that he can stay as long as he wants. And having earned it, calls him an artist.
After the competition, Vincenzo expresses his gratitude for Flora and Tecna and gives them his ice cream recipe. He thanks them for helping him find what he was missing: making people happy with his food.
